Andrés Suárez & Laín Fernández

Architecture studio

History

Neva are Andrés Suárez and Laín Fernández. We met studying at the School of Architecture in A Coruña. From the first moment friendship arose and we soon saw that we also shared ideas about our profession that fit together.

In 2016 we were granted a scholarship for the Creative Industries Incubator of Matadero, in Madrid. There began a fruitful professional collaboration that, at first, we alternated with work in other architecture studios in Madrid and Asturias.

In 2021, already established in Gijón, we decided to take a step further and create our own brand and studio. Thus Neva was born.

nevar: v. Snow fell [from the clouds]

When snow covers the valley or the mountain, it creates a blank canvas on which any idea is possible, awakening inspiration. A canvas, however, whose visual grandeur, calm and serenity invite respect: what we create there must be up to the task.
